Pasco's coffee map starts with four street addresses: 9425 Sandifur Pkwy Suite 105 in West Pasco, 2915 N 20th Ave near Columbia Basin College, 4845 Broadmoor Blvd on the city's newest growth edge, and 6600 Burden Blvd. Add the two Dutch Bros stands the company lists for Pasco, at 2601 Court Street and 6609 Burden Blvd, and you have the working coffee geography of a city of 78,446 people, per the Census Bureau's 2023 American Community Survey five year estimate.

This post is the Pasco pole of the Tri Cities map in this series. Kennewick and Richland get their own streets elsewhere. Here I stay on the Franklin County side of the Columbia River and walk Pasco one street at a time, naming each coffee room by its address and, where the business posts them on its own site, its hours. Nothing more is needed to plan a cup in Pasco, and nothing more belongs in a map like this.

Pasco Is Its Own City, Not the Middle of Three

Pasco is the county seat of Franklin County and was incorporated on September 3, 1891. It sits on the north bank of the Columbia River, across from Kennewick, and the Cable Bridge, opened in 1978, carries State Route 397 between the two cities. U.S. Route 395 comes in from the south on the Blue Bridge, and Interstate 182 runs east and west across the city.

Those roads explain why Pasco coffee is spread out the way it is. The older downtown sits near the river, home to the Pasco Farmers Market. The city's growth since then has pushed west and north, along Interstate 182 and the long numbered roads of West Pasco. A city that grew that way ends up with coffee on several separate streets rather than a single strip.

Pasco also deserves to be counted on its own terms. Its 78,446 residents put it close to Kennewick's 84,389 and well above Richland's 61,912 in the same 2023 estimates. Treating it as the quiet middle of the Tri Cities misses a city nearly as large as its busiest neighbor.

Sandifur Parkway: 9425, Suite 105

The West Pasco address on this map is 9425 Sandifur Pkwy Suite 105, where Ahava Coffee Company keeps its cafe room. The suite number is the useful detail for a first visit: look for the building number on the parkway first, then Suite 105.

Sandifur Parkway runs through West Pasco, and it is still being extended. The city's Broadmoor Master Plan, adopted April 17, 2023, calls for the extension of Sandifur Parkway along with a new Road 108, a wider Broadmoor Boulevard and a revamp of the Road 100 and Interstate 182 interchange. The parkway a visitor drives today is part of a road network the city expects to keep growing.

For a resident of West Pasco, that makes the parkway address a neighborhood stop rather than a destination across town. The practical tip is simple: check the business listing for the day's hours before you go, since hours at any small cafe can shift with the season.

North 20th Avenue: The College and Airport Road

North 20th Avenue is Pasco's institutional spine. Columbia Basin College, which has served the Tri Cities since 1955, sits at 2600 N 20th Ave and enrolls nearly 7,000 students, making it the largest public two year college in southeastern Washington. The Tri Cities Airport sits about two miles northwest of downtown Pasco, reached from the 20th Avenue side of town, and carried 478,000 commercial passengers in 2024.

A short way up the same avenue is 2915 N 20th Ave, one of Swagg Coffee Bar's three locations. Its own site posts hours of 5am to 6pm Monday through Thursday, 5am to 7pm on Friday, 6am to 7pm on Saturday and 6am to 6pm on Sunday. A 5am weekday door on a road that serves a college and an airport is exactly the kind of schedule that road calls for.

For a traveler with an early flight or a student with a first period class, that stretch of 20th Avenue is the obvious coffee corridor in Pasco. It is also a good reminder that a coffee address says as much about its street as about itself: 20th Avenue is where Pasco goes to school and to the airport.

Broadmoor Boulevard: The Growth Edge

Broadmoor Boulevard is where West Pasco is still being built. The city's Broadmoor Master Plan covers a 1,200 acre area of west Pasco and focuses on a variety of housing options with an emphasis on higher density choices. Back in early 2018, plans were announced for 5,000 to 8,000 new residences in West Pasco, and Broadmoor is the frontier of that growth.

Swagg Coffee Bar's second Pasco room is at 4845 Broadmoor Blvd, Building 5 in the Visit Tri Cities entry. This is the late room of the three. Its own site posts 5am to 7pm Monday through Thursday, 5am to 8pm on Friday, 6am to 8pm on Saturday and 6am to 7pm on Sunday, an hour later each evening than the 20th Avenue room.

Swagg's own menu description names homemade baked goods, burritos and sandwiches next to the coffee, which fits a growth corridor where new neighborhoods need a breakfast stop and a dinner hour stop as much as an espresso bar. For an evening cup in Pasco, 4845 Broadmoor Blvd is the address to remember.

Burden Boulevard: A Trailer and a Drive Thru

Burden Boulevard holds two coffee addresses on this map. Ground Support Coffee gives its address as 6600 Burden Blvd and describes itself in its own words as a mobile full service coffee trailer, ready to serve coffee and cultivate community, with a stated focus on serving coffee while serving people. Its posted hours run 5am to 6pm Monday through Saturday, and it is closed on Sunday.

Dutch Bros lists one of its two Pasco stands at 6609 Burden Blvd. That puts two coffee addresses on the same boulevard, each keeping its own schedule.

For a planner, the Sunday closure at 6600 Burden Blvd is the one detail worth writing down, because a Sunday morning coffee run on Burden will find a different set of open windows than a weekday one.

Court Street and the Chain Layer

Dutch Bros lists two Pasco locations on its own city locator page: 2601 Court Street and 6609 Burden Blvd. That is a lighter chain footprint than Kennewick, where the same company lists four stands, and the same as Richland, which also has two.

The two stands sit on two different streets, Court Street and Burden Boulevard, and neither is on Sandifur Parkway, North 20th Avenue or Broadmoor Boulevard. Even the national chain spreads itself across Pasco rather than stacking on one road.

Two chain stands in a city of 78,446 leaves plenty of room for local coffee, and that is what the rest of this map shows. Pasco's independent cafes sit on Sandifur, 20th Avenue, Broadmoor and Burden, none of them on Court Street, so a resident's nearest cup depends heavily on which side of the city they live on.

What the Visitor Guide Shows for Pasco

Visit Tri Cities, the regional tourism office, keeps a coffee shops and cafes page that describes coffee, cafes, roasters, tea houses, boba and fresh pressed juice across the area. Its list carries 14 entries. Two of them are in Pasco: Swagg Coffee Bar at 4845 Broadmoor Blvd and Ground Support Coffee at 6600 Burden Blvd.

The same page lists seven Kennewick entries, four in Richland and one in Prosser, which lies outside the three cities. Read by city, it shows a regional guide leaning toward Kennewick, the biggest of the three cities, while Pasco gets two entries out of 14.

That is not a knock on the guide. A tourism page lists the businesses that list with it. It is a reason for a drinker in Pasco to use street names rather than the regional label when searching. A search for coffee near Broadmoor or 20th Avenue brings up Pasco shops. A search for coffee in the Tri Cities brings up the whole region, weighted toward the larger city across the river.

Planning a Pasco Coffee Day

Pasco's coffee day starts early. Two of the three Swagg locations open at 5am on weekdays, and 6600 Burden Blvd opens at 5am Monday through Saturday. A commuter crossing to Kennewick or Richland, a student headed to 2600 N 20th Ave or a traveler flying out of the Tri Cities Airport can have a cup in hand before 6.

Evenings are thinner. The latest posted closing time on this map belongs to 4845 Broadmoor Blvd, at 8pm on Friday and Saturday and 7pm on other nights. For a late cup, Broadmoor is the address. For a Sunday, remember that 6600 Burden Blvd is closed, and both Swagg locations in Pasco open at 6am.

A visitor staying downtown near the farmers market or the river can reach any of these streets by car in a short drive, but they are not a walking route. Pasco's coffee is a driving map, organized by street, and knowing the street is the whole trick.

A simple loop shows how it fits together. Start early on North 20th Avenue near the college, head west on Interstate 182 toward Broadmoor Boulevard for a later stop, and swing through Sandifur Parkway on the way back east. Burden Boulevard and Court Street cover the rest of the city. Each leg of that loop is its own neighborhood, with its own commute patterns and its own reasons to stop, and each has a coffee address that belongs to it rather than to the Tri Cities as a whole. That is the shape of a city that grew outward from the river along a handful of long roads.

Why Street Names Beat the Regional Label

For a Pasco cafe, the regional name is a mixed blessing. Tri Cities is how many people describe where they live, but it is also a label that pulls results toward whichever city has the most listings. A Pasco room that says Pasco, the street and the neighborhood in plain words on its own page and its business listing gives both drinkers and search tools a clear answer.

The same rule holds for drinkers. Searching for coffee on Sandifur Parkway, North 20th Avenue, Broadmoor Boulevard or Burden Boulevard returns a much more useful set of results than searching the metro name. Each of those streets has its own coffee address, and each serves a different part of the city.

Pasco is a city of 78,446 with a college, an airport, a growing west side and a coffee map spread across five named streets. It is not the middle of the Tri Cities. It is one of three poles, and it has earned a map of its own.

How many Dutch Bros are in Pasco?

Dutch Bros' own Pasco locator page lists two locations: 2601 Court Street and 6609 Burden Blvd. That matches Richland, which also has two, at 496 Keene Rd and 490 Wellsian Way, and is half of Kennewick's four. West Richland has one more stand at 6429 Keene Rd, which is a separate city and is not counted with Pasco or Richland.

What is the Broadmoor area of Pasco?

Broadmoor is the growth edge of West Pasco. The city's Broadmoor Master Plan, adopted April 17, 2023, covers a 1,200 acre area and calls for extending Sandifur Parkway, building a new Road 108, widening Broadmoor Boulevard and revamping the Road 100 and Interstate 182 interchange. Swagg Coffee Bar has a room at 4845 Broadmoor Blvd.

Is Pasco part of Kennewick or Richland?

No. Pasco is its own city and the county seat of Franklin County, incorporated on September 3, 1891, on the north bank of the Columbia River. Kennewick and Richland are in Benton County across the river. The Cable Bridge, opened in 1978 and carrying State Route 397, and the Blue Bridge on U.S. 395 connect Pasco to Kennewick, so the two cities are a short drive apart but separate.

How big is Pasco compared to Kennewick and Richland?

In the Census Bureau's 2023 American Community Survey five year estimates, Pasco counted 78,446 residents, Kennewick 84,389 and Richland 61,912. West Richland, a separate city, counted 17,126. Pasco is close in size to Kennewick and larger than Richland, which is why it deserves its own coffee map rather than a line in a metro guide.

How should I search for coffee in Pasco?

Search by street rather than by the regional name. A search for coffee on Sandifur Parkway, North 20th Avenue, Broadmoor Boulevard or Burden Boulevard returns Pasco shops, while a Tri Cities search leans toward Kennewick, which holds seven of the 14 entries on the Visit Tri Cities coffee page. Then confirm the day's hours on the business listing.
