Rockabilly Roasting Co is at 101 W Kennewick Ave. Ahava Coffee Company is at 9425 Sandifur Pkwy Suite 105. Novel Coffee Co is at 950 George Washington Way. Those three addresses sit in three different cities, and that fact alone tells you almost everything about how coffee actually works in the Tri Cities.

It is easy for anyone outside Benton and Franklin County to hear Tri Cities and picture one town with a slightly odd name. It is not that. Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland are three separate cities, each with its own downtown, its own street grid, and its own coffee shops that belong to that street and not to some shared regional address. A shop on West Kennewick Avenue is a Kennewick shop first. A shop on Sandifur Parkway is a West Pasco shop first. A shop on George Washington Way is a Richland shop first. None of them are simply Tri Cities shops with the specific city detail optional.

This post is a map, not a review. The goal is to put six real coffee businesses on their real streets, in their real cities, so that a reader searching for coffee in Kennewick, or coffee in Pasco, or coffee in Richland gets an answer that actually points to the right pole of this metro rather than a vague regional guess. Nothing here is Yakima and nothing here is Walla Walla. Both of those are real, separate cities down the road, and folding either one into a Tri Cities post would be exactly the kind of mistake this piece is trying to correct.

Eight addresses, six businesses, three cities plus West Richland. Rockabilly Roasting Co and Tri City Coffee Company both sit on West Kennewick Avenue in downtown Kennewick. Ahava Coffee Company sits on Sandifur Parkway in West Pasco. Novel Coffee Co sits on George Washington Way in Richland. Swagg Coffee Bar spans two locations in Pasco and one in West Richland. Flying X Coffee sits on Gage Boulevard in a different part of Kennewick entirely. Laid out that way, the picture is not one coffee scene, it is several, each tied to its own street.

Downtown Kennewick: West Kennewick Avenue

West Kennewick Avenue in downtown Kennewick holds two separate coffee shops worth knowing by name and address. Rockabilly Roasting Co sits at 101 W Kennewick Ave, and Tri City Coffee Company sits at 604 W Kennewick Ave, a few blocks down the same corridor.

These are two different businesses with two different stories, not two locations of the same shop. Rockabilly Roasting Co dates its Kennewick business to 2014, and its own posted cafe hours close at 2pm Monday through Thursday, run 7am to 4pm on Friday and 8am to 4pm on Saturday, and take Sunday off. Tri City Coffee Company operates inside the Kennewick Flower Shop, a detail that says something real about how small independent coffee shops in this city sometimes share space with an existing local business rather than opening a standalone storefront. Both addresses put a reader on the same short stretch of West Kennewick Avenue, which makes that corridor the closest thing downtown Kennewick has to a coffee row.

For anyone new to the area, or anyone building a mental map of where coffee happens in Kennewick, West Kennewick Avenue is the street to remember. It is not the only place coffee exists in the city, but it is the one stretch where two independent shops sit close enough together that a visitor could reasonably walk from one to the other.

It is worth being precise about why this corridor matters for anyone searching online, too. A search engine or an AI answer trying to place a coffee shop in Kennewick specifically needs the actual street name to work with, not a general reference to the metro. West Kennewick Avenue, spelled out with its house numbers, is the kind of detail that lets an answer point a reader to the right block instead of just the right city.

Downtown Kennewick also has a chain layer close by. Dutch Bros runs a stand at 3 W Columbia Dr, one of the four Kennewick locations on its own city locator, so a broad search for coffee near West Kennewick Avenue can mix a drive thru into the same short list as the two independent shops. That is simply what a compact downtown looks like in results, and it is one more reason the house numbers 101 and 604 do so much work for a reader.

West Pasco: Sandifur Parkway

Ahava Coffee Company runs a cafe room at 9425 Sandifur Pkwy Suite 105 in West Pasco. The suite number tells a first time visitor what to expect on arrival: a room inside a larger commercial building on the parkway, one tenant among several, rather than a freestanding corner storefront.

Sandifur Parkway sits on the west side of Pasco, distinct from the parts of Pasco that show up in other coffee conversations around this metro. Anyone searching for coffee in Pasco needs to know that the city itself is large enough to have more than one commercial corridor, and Sandifur Parkway is the one that carries a cafe room on this map.

Pasco, as a city, deserves the same specificity that Kennewick and Richland get. It is not a stop between the other two poles of this metro. It has its own population, its own street grid, and on Sandifur Parkway, its own named cafe room worth finding on its own street.

Pasco counted 78,446 residents in the Census Bureau's 2023 five year American Community Survey, close to Kennewick's 84,389 and well above Richland's 61,912. A city that size carries its own chain layer too: Dutch Bros lists two Pasco locations, at 2601 Court Street and 6609 Burden Blvd, on its own city locator. Sandifur Parkway sits apart from both of those streets, which is exactly why the parkway name belongs in any answer about coffee in West Pasco.

Richland: George Washington Way

Novel Coffee Co sits at 950 George Washington Way in Richland. George Washington Way is Richland's main commercial spine, the kind of street a visitor unfamiliar with the city would naturally end up on while looking for almost anything, coffee included.

Richland is its own city with its own identity, shaped in large part by its history connected to the Hanford site and the broader Manhattan Project era, a history genuinely distinct from Kennewick's downtown grid or Pasco's Sandifur Parkway corridor. A coffee shop on George Washington Way is a Richland institution in the same way a shop on West Kennewick Avenue is a Kennewick institution. Treating the two as interchangeable because they both fall under the Tri Cities umbrella misses what makes each city its own place.

Novel's George Washington Way address is the anchor point for anyone trying to find specialty coffee in Richland specifically, as opposed to somewhere else in this three city metro. Its own published hours run 8am to 5pm every day of the week, which makes it one of the easier stops on this map to plan around, weekday or weekend.

Richland's identity as a distinct city, separate from Kennewick and Pasco, is not a small point. Its history, its layout, and the way its downtown developed all differ from its neighbors across the river, and a coffee shop's address on George Washington Way carries that same specific Richland identity rather than a generic Tri Cities one.

Pasco and West Richland: Swagg's Three Rooms

Swagg Coffee Bar is the one business in this list that genuinely spans more than one city, and it is worth naming precisely because of that. Swagg operates from 2915 N 20th Ave in Pasco, from 4845 Broadmoor Blvd, also in Pasco, and from 1472 Bombing Range Rd Building A in West Richland.

That third address matters for a specific reason: West Richland is its own city, separate from Richland proper, sitting further west along the Yakima River. A shop with a location in West Richland is not the same as a shop with a location in Richland, even though the two names look nearly identical on a map. Swagg's spread across two locations in Pasco and one in West Richland is a genuine multi city footprint inside this metro, not a single address that happens to get mentioned twice.

Anyone mapping this region's coffee needs to hold Pasco, West Richland, and Richland as three distinct places, even when, as with Swagg, one business operates across more than one of them.

The three locations also keep their own hours. The 2915 N 20th Ave location in Pasco and the 1472 Bombing Range Rd location in West Richland both open at 5am Monday through Friday and 6am on weekends, closing at 6pm Monday through Thursday and Sunday and at 7pm on Friday and Saturday. The 4845 Broadmoor Blvd location in Pasco keeps the same openings but runs an hour later each evening, to 7pm Monday through Thursday and Sunday and to 8pm on Friday and Saturday.

Kennewick: Gage Boulevard

Flying X Coffee holds a fourth Kennewick address, distinct from the West Kennewick Avenue corridor described above. Flying X sits at 8530 W Gage Blvd STE E in Kennewick, with posted hours of 7am to 5pm Monday through Friday and 8am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Gage Boulevard is a different part of Kennewick than downtown's West Kennewick Avenue, which means Kennewick itself, like Pasco and Richland, is large enough to hold more than one coffee corridor inside its own city limits. A reader looking specifically for coffee near Gage Boulevard in Kennewick needs a different address than a reader looking for coffee on West Kennewick Avenue, even though both are unambiguously Kennewick.

That is the pattern worth taking away from this whole map. Kennewick alone has at least two separate coffee corridors. Pasco has its own. Richland has its own. West Richland has its own. Treating any of that as one flat Tri Cities coffee scene erases the actual geography that makes each of these addresses useful to someone standing on a specific street looking for a specific cup of coffee.

Flying X's own story dates the business to 2015 and a first shop in Connell, a small city of 5,080 residents in the 2023 Census estimates, well outside Kennewick, Pasco and Richland. That is a reminder that a shop's current street address and its origin story can point to two different places entirely, and both are worth keeping straight rather than collapsing into one another.

Why This Is Three Poles, Not One Metro Homepage

A single Tri Cities coffee homepage, the kind that lists every shop in the metro under one banner with no clear sense of which city each one belongs to, makes it harder for a reader to find what they need. Someone standing in downtown Kennewick does not need a Sandifur Parkway address in West Pasco as their first answer. They need West Kennewick Avenue.

Keeping Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland as three separate poles, each with its own named streets and its own named shops, is simply a more accurate reflection of how this metro works on the ground. Benton and Franklin County sit across the Columbia River from each other, connected by bridges, but Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland each kept their own downtown, their own street grid, and their own civic identity as they grew. Coffee content that respects that geography is more useful than coffee content that flattens it.

This is also, deliberately, not Yakima and not Walla Walla. Both are real cities within driving distance of the Tri Cities, and both have their own coffee scenes worth their own separate treatment. Folding either one into a Tri Cities piece would be the same mistake as folding Pasco into Kennewick, just at a larger scale.

The takeaway for any Tri Cities coffee shop owner reading this is simple. Lead with your real street and your real city before you lead with the regional name. Kennewick Avenue, Sandifur Parkway, George Washington Way, Gage Boulevard, Bombing Range Road, these are the details that tell a reader, and an AI answer, exactly where to find you, in a way that the words Tri Cities alone never quite can.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Rockabilly Roasting Co?

Rockabilly Roasting Co is at 101 W Kennewick Ave, on the West Kennewick Avenue corridor in downtown Kennewick, and it dates its business to 2014. Its posted cafe hours close at 2pm Monday through Thursday, run 7am to 4pm on Friday and 8am to 4pm on Saturday, and stay closed on Sunday. It is one of two independent coffee shops on that same stretch of the avenue.

Where is Tri City Coffee Company?

Tri City Coffee Company is at 604 W Kennewick Ave, a few blocks down the same West Kennewick Avenue corridor from 101 W Kennewick Ave. It operates inside the Kennewick Flower Shop, so a visitor walks into a flower shop and finds the coffee counter there. It is a separate business from the room at 101, and the two addresses together make that corridor downtown Kennewick's coffee row.

Where is Ahava Coffee Company?

Ahava Coffee Company runs its cafe room at 9425 Sandifur Pkwy Suite 105 in West Pasco. The suite number places it inside a shared commercial building on Sandifur Parkway rather than a freestanding storefront. Sandifur Parkway is the West Pasco street to know, separate from the Court Street and Burden Blvd addresses where Dutch Bros runs its two Pasco drive thrus.

Where is Novel Coffee Co?

Novel Coffee Co is at 950 George Washington Way in Richland, on the city's main commercial spine, and its own published hours run 8am to 5pm every day of the week. That address is the anchor for anyone searching specifically for specialty coffee in Richland, a city of 61,912 in the 2023 Census estimates, rather than elsewhere in the Tri Cities.

Where are Swagg Coffee Bar's three locations?

Swagg Coffee Bar operates from 2915 N 20th Ave in Pasco, 4845 Broadmoor Blvd in Pasco, and 1472 Bombing Range Rd Building A in West Richland. All three open at 5am Monday through Friday and 6am on weekends. The Broadmoor location stays open latest, to 8pm on Friday and Saturday. That spread makes Swagg the one shop on this map with locations in two cities.

Where is Flying X Coffee?

Flying X Coffee is at 8530 W Gage Blvd STE E in Kennewick, open 7am to 5pm Monday through Friday and 8am to 5pm on weekends. Gage Boulevard is a different Kennewick corridor than downtown's West Kennewick Avenue, so Kennewick holds at least two coffee corridors inside its own limits. The business dates to 2015 and a first shop in Connell.

Is the Tri Cities treated as one metro homepage here?

No. Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland are kept as three separate poles throughout this piece, each with its own named streets and shops: West Kennewick Avenue and Gage Boulevard in Kennewick, Sandifur Parkway in West Pasco, and George Washington Way in Richland. West Richland, a city of 17,126 in the 2023 Census estimates, is treated as its own fourth city rather than folded into Richland.

Is this piece talking about Yakima or Walla Walla?

No. Yakima, with 96,810 residents, and Walla Walla, with 33,766, are real, separate cities near the Tri Cities with their own coffee scenes, and neither is included here. Dutch Bros even keeps them on their own locator pages, three stands in Yakima and two in Walla Walla. This piece stays inside Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, and West Richland.

Why treat Pasco and Richland separately when Swagg operates in both Pasco and West Richland?

Because Swagg's own three addresses show exactly why the distinction matters. Two of its locations, on N 20th Ave and Broadmoor Blvd, are in Pasco, and one, on Bombing Range Rd, is in West Richland, a different city again from Richland. Naming all three streets precisely is more useful to a reader than calling Swagg simply a Tri Cities shop.

Is West Richland the same as Richland?

No. West Richland is its own city of 17,126 residents, separate from Richland's 61,912 in the same 2023 Census estimates. Swagg's Bombing Range Road room is in West Richland, while Novel's George Washington Way room is in Richland proper. Dutch Bros treats them the same way, with one West Richland stand at 6429 Keene Rd kept apart from its two Richland stands.

What is the single most useful takeaway for someone new to the Tri Cities coffee scene?

Match the shop to its street and city before anything else. West Kennewick Avenue, at 101 and 604, and Gage Boulevard, at 8530, both sit in Kennewick but are different corridors. Sandifur Parkway is West Pasco, George Washington Way is Richland, and Bombing Range Road is West Richland. Knowing the street tells you the city, and the city tells you the drive.
